Easter falls on Sunday, April 9 this year which means some State Pension and benefit payments due to be made on Good Friday or bank holiday Monday will land in accounts early. The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) have confirmed changes to upcoming payment dates to ensure people receive their money on a day when Jobcentre Plus offices and phone lines are open.

HMRC has also confirmed that Child Benefit payments due on Monday April 10 will land in bank accounts on April 6.
