The much discussed pay increase for a raft of government benefits comes in to force in April 2023. Knowing exactly how much your new payments will be helps claimants plan financially, and therefore eases some of the worry of increasing cost of living price hikes.
It is estimated 19.2 million families and 39.8 million individuals across the country are currently in receipt of State Pension or benefits from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). Chancellor Jeremy Hunt confirmed in November that certain payments will be uprated by 10.1 percent from April 2023, taking into account the rate of inflation recorded in September.
So, with the help of Nottinghamshire Live sister publication Daily Record, and the Government website, here is an easy-to-read, full list of the new payment rates for a range of DWP benefits.
Weekly rates are shown, unless otherwise stated and have been rounded as per the UK Government policy.
