New drag agency Rent-a-Queen lets Londoners rent performers fresh from London's queer scene

Was that last party you went to missing something? Pass the parcel...homemade bunting… a six foot vodka luge? Perhaps it was a drag queen.

Two Londoners say they have the solution. Jack Cullen and partner Elliot Rose have today launched a new service which hires out queens to those looking to liven up a bash.

The booking service, called Rent-a-Queen, has hundreds of queens, kings and cabaret artists on its books, with hosts, singers, dancers, comedians and lip-sync aficionados all available.

Cullen, a publicist for LGBTQ+ pub and performance venue The Glory and the Grand in Clapham, said in a statement: “I can’t keep up with the messages I get on Instagram and Facebook every week wanting me to source different types of drag queen for different types of events.

“As a small, LGBT+ agency working with talent from London's best independent gay bars and club nights, using Rent-a-Queen is supporting the scene – you're not 'rainbow-washing', you're helping.”
