A brand new dog walking field is opening in Lanarkshire this weekend.
Unleash the Dogs will open to proud puppy owners on Blantyre Farm Road, with two fully secured fields where pooches can run freely. Overlooking the Clyde, the field also offers a sensory garden for reducing stress and anxiety in pets.
For the wilder pups, agility exercises are also dotted throughout the grounds. Parking is available at the fields, with shelters for dog owners to meet in.

Users are required to book their spots prior to coming, with the booking website available here. The fields are open seven days a week, from 7am until 9pm.
Pricing for a 30-minute session begins at £6.50 for 1-4 dogs, £8 for 5-6 dogs, or £9.50 for 7-8 dogs.
A spokeswoman for Unleash the Dogs told Lanarkshire Live: “We are super excited to launch this new venture for dog owners in Bothwell, Uddingston, Blantyre, and Newton, but of course, we welcome dogs and their people from across Lanarkshire.
“We have dreamt of providing a facility like this for a few years now, so we are delighted that it is finally coming to fruition. We look forward to seeing you and your dogs very soon at our Blantyre base.
“This will be the first of several sites we have planned for around Glasgow and we are really keen to keep adding new features to make them the ultimate destination for dog owners and walkers.”
On their website, Unleash the Dogs say that safety is their top priority. They write: “All of our fencing is 1.8m in height, with fencing dug in 1ft underground to prevent any escapees.
“The fields also have a secure unloading bay as standard. The fields are designed to be an enriching experience for your dogs.”
The fields have already received huge local interest, with almost 1800 followers on their Facebook page in just a few days. Their opening weekend is almost sold out, so head over to the website if you’re interested.
