Celtic are expected to extend their lucrative deal with kit manufacturer Adidas at some point this season, and when they do it's believed the Parkhead side will become one of the brand's 'elite' clubs.
Now, prolific football leaks site Footy Headlines has outlined how Celtic will be categorised as one of the brand's so-called 'local elite' teams, alongside Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Roma, River Plate, Boca Juniors and Flamengo.
According to Footy Headlines, this is essentially Adidas' second tier of elite clubs, with the brand's standalone 'elite' level teams being Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Liverpool.
After the 'local elite' grouping, the 'big clubs' category includes Ajax, Benfica, Lyon, Leicester City, Leeds United, Internacional and Besiktas.

"According to new information we have, Adidas is making a complete change to its team tiers for the new season," reads an update post on Footy Headlines.
"Accordingly, each tier will also have different benefits: "Elite clubs: Authentic kits available in ALL adidas stores globally. Released in multiple lifestyle collections, marketed globally.
"Local elite clubs: New authentic kits with many collections, but only released in the team's countries, maybe more in other continents, markets with potential, not released globally.
"Big clubs: Bespoke design jerseys from Adidas HQ. No authentic kits, replica kits released worldwide."
