The community of Leith has just welcomed a new cosy cafe with cheerful yet stylish decor and a wide variety of breakfast and lunch meals on offer.
Having been open for just days, Cocorico cafe has already made a loyal fan base on Facebook, with people looking forward to visiting the new place and some already sharing order recommendations - Croque Madames and the Cullen Skink.
The owners, Ana and Mickael, took to Facebook to share the exciting opening news on Thursday, February 17.
They said: "Today's the day!!!! Tired but totally worth it!"
The post has quickly got nearly 100 comments, with people sharing the excitement and expressing plans to visit the new dining spot soon.
Serving fresh homemade breakfasts, lunch and home baking, the cafe is open for visitors along with their furry companions and is sure to make everyone feel welcomed.
The venue bosses aren't new to the hospitality business - their previous venue, The Water of Leith Cafe Bistro, successfully traded in the Canonmills area of the capital for seven years and has last welcomed customers on August 28, 2021.
Breaking the sad news in a Facebook post, the entrepreneurs said: "We will have our last day trading as The Water of Leith Cafe Bistro on Saturday, August 28, and it's our intention to open our next 'wee cafe' later on this year.
"Nothing is yet finalised, but we will let you all know through local press and social media channels.
"Thanks as ever for all of your support over the years, it means the world!"
