A new Clarks store is set to open in Newcastle's Eldon Square this spring.
The iconic British shoe chain will open in the former OFFICE store in the city shopping centre which sits next door to Levi's.
Blue and white signage announcing the new store has gone up in front of the unit announcing the move. It says 'We're building the future. The Modern Workshop, opening soon. Clarks for the world ahead."
Work appears to be underway to transform the space following the closure of Newcastle's OFFICE shoe store in February.

It is not yet known if the current Clarks store, which is located on Hotspur Way in Eldon Square, will remain open when the new branch opens. Clarks and Eldon Square have been contacted for a comment.
The UK’s largest shoe retailer, Clarks has been providing quality footwear for all the family since 1825. Shoppers will be able to browse the range of styles including sandals, heels and boots in the new store.
