Celtic have landed inside the top 50 for football's most valuable brand, showing a prospective new boss the financial power possessed at Parkhead.
A mega total of £98m sees the Premiership champions rise up from a 2022 position of 44th to 42nd thanks to an increase of £2m. They are above European giants in Porto and Valencia while the likes of Bundesliga club Union Berlin, Premier League side Brentford and La Liga's Athletic Bilbao are all beneath them. Flamengo of Brazil prop up the top 50 which includes the game's biggest names.
Man City as the most valuable after soaring past Real Madrid with a total of £1.26bn, in an analysis by Brand Finance. Los Blancos, Barcelona, Man United and Liverpool make up the top five while Ange Postecoglou has swapped his Celtic managerial role for the ninth-biggest brand in football, with Tottenham coming in with a total of £774m. It's an eye-opener for whoever comes in to replace the Australian at Parkhead, with a brand total of almost nine figures for the Hoops.
Champions League participation will be a likely factor in brand awareness increasing. That added to the fact that Celtic are already one of the world's most recognisable clubs, thanks to key traits like Parkhead's atmosphere on Euro nights.
