New Cardinals LB Josh Woods gets mostly guaranteed contract

The Arizona Cardinals signed former Detroit Lions linebacker Josh Woods to a one-year contract. He was a special teams stud and team captain in Detroit.

We have the details of his one-year contract from Over the Cap.

His deal is for a little more than the league minimum but it is mostly guaranteed, which mostly assures him a spot on the final roster.

His 2023 salary will be the league minimum of $1.08 million. $625,000 of that amount is guaranteed.

He receives a signing bonus of $152,500.

His cap hit in 2023 will be a little more than $1.09 million.

He had 14 special teams tackles last season for Detroit, including 10 solo special teams tackles, which was fifth in the NFL. He has 33 career special teams tackles.

He and Zeke Turner give the Cardinals a pair of stud linebacker special teamers.
