New cancer cases have doubled in France since 1990

According to figures published by Public Health France, around 433,000 new cases of cancer are now detected in France each year. That number has doubled since 1990. Experts note a stark increase in the number of new cases among women, a hike directly correlated to their increased tabacco consumption. FRANCE 24's Science Editor Julia Sieger tells us more.
