New cafe for The Old Bank as historic Glasgow south side venue announces grand opening

There's a new cafe opening in the south side next week, complete with a grand launch event inside an old investment bank transformed into an exciting events venue.

The cafe, which is part of The Old Bank, opened to the public on July 17 but has decided to host a grand launch on July 23. Customers attending the launch will be entertained by a live DJ while they take advantage of a special offer of a free chocolate brownie and a free coffee with either organic or oat milk.

The offer will last from 11am until stock runs out. However, the cafe also has a variety of tasty breakfast and lunch foods on their menu for you to fill up on if you happen to miss out on the free brownies.

The food pays homage to the original Lahore cafes in Pakistan, with their traditional breakfast, lunch and coffees. The interior of the café brings together the original bank and influences of the old Lahore cafes with the décor and unique dishes like Naanwich, cheesy naan melts, gyros, naanizza and Masala chips.

The Old Bank, situated at 110 Battlefield Road, is open from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 5pm on weekends and serves high-quality, freshly made food, using organic eggs and organic sourdough bread.

Their coffee is freshly roasted each morning at a local Glasgow coffee roasting house. It’s then packed and delivered to the cafe, where they grind the coffee beans and serve aromatic, fresh coffee as you’ve never tasted before.

Freshly made cakes, desserts and Gelato from local independent businesses in Glasgow are also on offer.

You can keep up with The Old Bank on their Facebook page, here.
