Scottish holidaymakers can jet away on two new routes from Glasgow Airport this summer.
The first Scottish route from budget airline PLAY took place on Friday from Glasgow to Keflavík. The new route, which starts at £87, is set to be flown four times a week this summer and autumn.
Meanwhile, Jet2's inaugural flight from Glasgow to Girona took flight on Sunday. The low-cost airline will be flying to the Spanish hotspot on Sundays this summer through to September 24 for as low as £61.
Whether you fancy the endless sun of an Icelandic summer or meandering around a mediaeval Catalonian city, the two budget airlines are keen to get travellers there for less.
Many visitors flock to Keflavík to catch the Northern Lights in winter, but in summer, Iceland's rugged landscape flourishes under 24 hour daylight.
Situated an hour away from Barcelona, Girona is the gateway to the Costa Brava, a stunning northeastern region of Spain known for its beaches and untamed beauty. Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy says the Glasgow to Girona route came after high demand.
He said: "We are delighted to see our first flight to Girona take off from Glasgow Airport on Sunday. Feedback from customers and independent travel agents in Scotland has been telling us that flights and holidays to Girona are very much in demand for Summer 23, and we know that this is a destination that customers want to get to."
