We know it well: swinging legs over the harbour wall, beverage in a tin in hand. Bristol's harbourside in warm weather invites day drinkers like bees to a honeypot.
It's a Bristolian rite of passage to hunt down a waterside spot along the Floating Harbour for a drink or two - but what if we told you there's another way to drink in Bristol at its best?

Bristol Ferry Boats have announced new gin cruises as part of their spring/summer events listings, and it's definitely a step up from tinnies along the harbour wall.
Whether it's a date night with a twist, a blow-off-steam after-work activity, or a chance to round up your mates to enjoy Bristol from the water, the one and half-hour cruise around the iconic harbour and beyond is complemented with gin-based drinks mixed on board the boat.
Bristol Ferry Boats describe the popular cruise as the sun goes down a chance to 'relax and unwind' whilst 'taking in the sights and sounds of Bristol's bustling waterfront'.
The cruise picks up and drops off from the City Centre landing stage near The Watershed at the bustling front of the harbour, so it's the perfect excuse to extend the evening (on land) after your harbourside trip.
The regular trips begin on 28 April, and tickets cost £20 - which covers the cruise and two free drinks, with more available to buy on board.
