A new blood test could detect different types of cancer before symptoms appear.
Over the coming weeks, people aged between 50 and 77 who live in a region of England where the trial is being run are being invited to take part in the new trial.
People who have been diagnosed with or treated for cancer within the last three years, or those who are currently having tests (or waiting for tests) due to suspected cancer, cannot take part in the trial.

The new Galleri test is a blood test that may be able to detect different types of cancer in a sample of a person's blood, before any symptoms have even appeared.
The new research trial will see how well it works in the NHS with the aim of seeing if cancers are detected earlier.
If you choose to take part, you will be able to book an appointment at a mobile clinic in your local area, likely to be situated in supermarket car parks.
The trial has been picked up in parts of Merseyside and you can check if your GP is taking part by clicking here.
Dr Chris Warburton, Medical Director of Cheshire & Merseyside Cancer Alliance, previously said: "The response to the NHS-Galleri trial in Liverpool has been incredibly impressive.
"These people are contributing to a study that could prevent cancer deaths not just here but across the UK and around the world."
The research team would like 140,000 people to volunteer to give blood samples and take part in the NHS-Galleri trial.
