New Ayrshire Tempura takeaway gets official opening date as food competition launched

Kilmarnock's newest takeaway now has an official opening date.

Popular Ayr restaurant Tempura will bring their lauded scran to East Ayrshire with the opening of the new outlet.

The takeaway will be based on John Finnie Street and is scheduled to open on Wednesday, September 14.

Dubbed Tempura 2go, the new eaterie is all about tempura, as the name suggests.

The Facebook page for their Ayr venue on Beresford Terrace states: "We are all about the vibe. Our music is vibey, our drinks are prepared with flair and passion, our staff are vibrant and our food is simply tempura, cooked to perfection every time."

To mark the launch of the new Kilmarnock takeaway, bosses at Tempura are giving five diners the chance to win a meal for two up to the value of £30.

The Facebook posts reads: "Tempura 2go Killie will be officially opening on Wednesday, September 14.

"We are giving 5 lucky people the chance of winning a meal for 2 people up to the value of £30.

"To be in with a chance of winning simply do the following: like and share this post; head over and like/follow our Tempura 2go Facebook page; comment who you will be sharing your prize with. Good luck.

"All 5 winners will be chosen on Monday, September 12

"Prize can only be redeemed at t2go Kilmarnock. Collection only."

The Kilmarnock town centre venue previously housed the short-lived Killer Griller takeaway and before that was the famous Balti.
