A new Albert's Schloss restaurant and bar is opening in Liverpool later this year.
Named in honour of Queen Victoria’s husband Prince Albert, Albert’s Schloss brings together a bier palace, cook haus, bakery, and live entertainment.
The new city centre restaurant and bar, which is described as a “Bavarian palace inspired by the bohemian spirit”, will occupy the former food market at Radiant House on Bold Street.

It will be the sister site to the Albert’s Schloss venues in Manchester’s Albert Hall and Birmingham’s One Chamberlain Square.
Mission Mars, the operator behind Albert’s Schloss, will convert the Bold Street space into a bar and restaurant, and will transform the retail units in the ground floor, as well as the basement, mezzanine and first floor areas.
The bar area will have four 900 pint copper barrels full of cross-continental beers, and there will be an extensive drinks menu featuring G&Ts, “haus-made” schnapps, cocktails, spritzes, wine and prosecco.
The food menus will feature “rustic and indulgent Bavarian-inspired dishes”, along with Bier Hall favourites, such as bratwursts and schnitzel.
Roy Ellis, CEO of Mission Mars, said: “Our new Albert’s Schloss is in a stunning art-deco building and we’re delighted to be bringing it back to life. We’ve designed a beautiful space, restoring a 1,000 square-foot glazed atrium while installing a large stage, green room, two large bars, an artisan bakery, a fresh tank beer system and restaurant dining for more than 500 guests.
“The first floor will be home to Ludwig’s Tavern, offering artisan Schnapps, a vermouth bar, shuffleboard and other Tavern games. Ludwig's Tavern will be available for private parties and other special events.
“We also have plans for a roof top terrace and a large open air Biergarten around the back. As in other cities, Schloss will recruit the best artistic talent available and offer entertainment seven days a week.”
The new Albert’s Schloss venue will create 200 jobs in the city. Work on the restaurant and bar begins soon, with plans to open in autumn.
