A total of 15 new, affordable homes in the centre of Altrincham are almost finished. The two-bedroom flats close to Altrincham Market in a new development known as Allingham Place are now close to completion.
They have come from developers Gecko Homes, based in Manchester, who are working with local builders to complete the properties. The cheapest flat on site is set to be priced at £272,500 and the most expensive will be £320,000.
The homes are all available to purchase through shared ownership, so any new owner could secure a 40pc holding for £109,000. The flats are also available for higher percentage ownership, up to 75pc, through the shared ownership scheme.

They cannot be bought outright. The flats are expected to be completed this Spring, subject to changes, and the flats are already available to be reserved.
The developers behind the scheme, Gecko, said: “Tucked away on a quiet street within wandering distance of the beating heart of the chic market town of Altrincham, placed perfectly between Manchester City Centre and the rolling Cheshire countryside.
“Perfect for professionals, each apartment is contemporary and luxurious in its design, offers spacious, light filled living and has been finished to an extremely high standard.
“Each apartment at Allingham Place is shared ownership — which makes it a perfect opportunity to invest in excellent, affordable living in a fashionable location with fabulous transport links.”
The flats have been labelled as ‘luxury, affordable’ accommodation.
