New A52 cameras installed off busy roundabout between Gamston and Radcliffe

New speed cameras are being put up off the A52 around Gamston roundabout. Numerous changes are planned for the busy road and work is not expected to be fully completed until 2023.

The four-stage works will see new gas pipes installed as well as a new 40mph speed limit on the approaches, exits and around the roundabout, to "improve safety on the approaches and pedestrian crossings". The roads to the roundabout will also be widened to provide extra lanes.

These widening works will benefit the A52 approaches into and out of Nottingham, expanding from two lanes to four, while the A6011 approach out of Nottingham will be expanded from two lanes to three. New traffic lights will be added alongside an expansion to the existing bus lane.
