A brand new private hospital has opened its doors at Braehead.
The £20 million Ross Hall Clinic Braehead has been build in the Titanium Business Park and includes Eye Care Scotland, a dedicated ophthalmic complex.
Work officially began in June 2021 and the hospital opened its doors on January 10. It has initially created 50 new jobs and there are plans in place to recruit more locally.
Owners Circle Health Group said they needed to expand its existing operations in response to an increase in demand within Scotland’s private healthcare market.
Mhairi Jefferies, executive director, said: “This is a significant investment in the most advanced equipment and services for patients in Scotland, in a state-of-the-art building.
“The new facility has been designed with patients and clinicians in mind. It transforms the patient experience while enhancing the services and care we can offer to patients.”

The new hospital includes 17 new consulting rooms, a new MRI scanner alongside new respiratory, colposcopy and urodynamic departments. The inclusion of these key additions will mean that an extra 200 outpatients a day will be able to receive care from clinical specialists.
The development has also meant Eye Care Scotland has expanded. The relocation from Crookston Road has now offered Ross Hall Hospital’s ophthalmic complex four consultation rooms, two diagnostic rooms and two surgical theatres, all of which have been specially designed with eye care patients in mind.
The project was delivered in collaboration with design partners IKON Architects, and contractor Morris & Spottiswood Limited, working in partnership with the team at Circle Health Group.
