Officials in Nevada are diligently working on tallying votes that were cast in-person on Election Day. The last voter in the state cast their ballot at 9:45 p.m. local time, as confirmed by Clark County Registrar Lorena Portillo.

At a news conference on Tuesday, Portillo announced that authorities will begin processing mail-in ballots in Clark County starting tomorrow.

Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar reassured the public, stating that there were no major issues reported across the state during the election process.

However, Aguilar did mention that approximately 11,000 ballots still require verification and need to be cured. One of the reasons for this is that many signatures on the ballots did not match the signatures authorities had on file. Aguilar explained that some young voters struggled with their signatures due to their familiarity with the digital world.

To address this issue, voters have the option to cure their ballots by visiting a newly launched website designed for this purpose.
