Here Are Some Of The Mock Drafts Projecting Where Strong Could Be Drafted

The 2022 NFL Draft is just 35 days away and we are getting closer to finding out where the college stars of last season will get drafted.

Carson Strong, the former Nevada quarterback, is hoping to hear his name being called as one of the draftees. With the NFL Combine and the Pro Day completed, we are in the home stretch of the draft process and it is time to see where the draft prognosticators project where Strong is going to get drafted.

Due to his lack of mobility, knee injury issues and having a so-so performance at the Combine, Strong has seen his draft stock take a tumble downward. ESPN’s draft expert Mel Kiper Jr., has Strong as the sixth best quarterback in this draft behind Liberty’s Malik Willis, Pittsburgh’s Kenny Pickett, Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder, Ole Miss’s Matt Corral, and  North Carolina’s Sam Howell.

“Obviously, the fit is a team that wants a pocket passer with a big time arm “, Kiper said of Strong. Kiper went on to say he loves Strong’s arm and that he could be a good developmental quarterback who will need to sit behind a veteran as he learns and eventually become an NFL starter.

When it comes to which team would draft Strong, Kiper mentioned teams like Carolina, Atlanta, Seattle and Detroit “It depends on who passes on the quarterbacks early on and who wants a guy like that to develop”. Kiper said.

Taking an overall look at the most recent mock drafts, it is looking like Strong is projected to be a second to fourth round pick. There is plenty of time between now and the draft so things can change in terms of where Strong could land.

We are in the home stretch and headed towards the draft and look out for those teams who have not addressed their QB situation. There is a good chance that one of those QB depleted teams could land Strong in the later rounds.

Here are some of the mock draft projections for Carson Strong:

Pro Football Network predicts Strong to be selected in the second round to Tampa Bay with pick #60.

CBS Sports predicts Strong to be selected in the third round going to New Orleans at pick #100.

Walter Football predicts Strong to be selected in the fourth round at pick #120 to New Orleans.

Draft Countdown predicts Strong to be selected in the fourth round to the Houston Texans with the 108th pick.
