Netherlands star Cody Gakpo has hinted he may be open to a January transfer window move away from PSV Eindhoven.
Gakpo has been in sensational form this season and has starred out in Qatar for the Netherlands at the World Cup.
Newcastle have long held an interest in the 23-year-old forward who has been linked with a host of clubs across Europe.

Chronicle Live understands Gakpo was on the Magpies ' radar even before PIF bought the club last October with Newcastle's scouting department monitoring the Dutch star for quite some time.
Should they choose to pursue a January move for the PSV forward, they would likely face strong competition from Manchester United, who nearly signed Gakpo in the summer.
It would be a tough deal to pull off, but one Newcastle are in a position to make. Eddie Howe's side currently sit third in the Premier League table and will likely contend for European football this season.
While his move to Old Trafford last summer never emerged, Gakpo could have signed for either Leeds United or Southampton but eventually opted to stick with PSV.
But despite choosing to remain with the Eredivisie side last summer, Gakpo has not ruled out a move away from PSV in January.
"As it stands now, I will still be playing for PSV after the winter break," Gakpo told De Telegraaf.
"But as I said before the start of the World Cup: we will see what will happen."
