A Nottinghamshire Morrisons was partially cordoned off after a storm ripped open its roof and caused flooding. There were thunderstorms across Nottinghamshire on Monday evening (June 12) with a weather warning in place.
Parts of Nottinghamshire were under an amber weather warning, with some parts of the county also given a yellow weather warning throughout Monday. The thunderstorms brought heavy rainfall, lightning, strong winds, and hail.
This caused damage to the roof of the Morrisons store in Victoria Retail Park, with the gap resulting in flooding inside the supermarket. Morrisons representatives said no customers or staff were hurt during the incident.
