Netflix viewers slam 'aggravating' Too Hot to Handle couple 'getting all the screen time'

Netflix viewers have blasted a Too Hot to Handle couple in the third season for “getting all the screen time” amid their frequent rule-breaking.

The third season of the lusty reality show, a Netflix take on Love Island, sees ten twenty-somethings fail to abstain from sex on television, despite the incentive of a hefty cash prize.

If the contestants kiss or have any sexual contact, money gets deducted from the final winnings: with a grand prize of $200,000 (£146,255) on the line for this latest season.

As Too Hot to Handle continues to rank second in the UK on the streaming platform since premiering last week, viewers have complained about one of the contestant pairings receiving “too much” airtime.

Oiled-up contestants Nathan Soan and Holly Scarfone have been one of this season’s most hotly discussed couples as they continue to ignore the celibacy rules, jeopardising the large cash prize.

The pair’s sexual chemistry has made them a focal point of the third season, but not all fans have warmed to the couple and have taken to Twitter.

One wrote: “Holly and Nathan were so selfish in Too Hot to Handle. Like stop arguing that the group doesn’t have faith in your connection when you continue to break the rules and stick with a man who lies constantly…”

Another said: “I’m watching Too Hot to Handle and I think Nathan and Holly are the most aggravating people ever.”

A third added: “You know when you’d get stuck doing a group project with a bunch of useless deadbeats? that’s what everyone on too hot to handle having to deal with Holly and Nathan is like.”

A fellow fan tweeted: “Holly and Nathan bore me, what a basic couple. They have too much screen time #toohottohandle”

Another tweeted: “Nathan/Holly got way too much screen time and low key this season wasn’t that good.”

Another Netflix viewer demanded: “Stop giving one couple all the screen time and treating the rest of the cast like background characters #toohottohandle”

Several Too Hot to Handle fans also took to Twitter to push for the likes of Harry Johnson and Beaux Raymond to receive more screen time instead.

One viewer wrote: “Harry and Beaux did not get the screen time they deserve. Hands down they were the most interesting and adorable couple on this season. I could care less about Holly and Nathan. #toohottohandle”

Another said: “Why are they making this season of Too Hot to Handle about Nathan and Holly when it should clearly be about Harry and Beaux?”

The first season of the tropical reality show dropped on the streaming platform at the height of the pandemic in April 2020 and garnered 51 million viewers.

The third season of Too Hot to Handle is streaming on Netflix now.
