Best movies in the Netflix top 10
‘Sicario'
It's rare to see a crime thriller score high marks on Rotten Tomatoes, but an impressive 92% of critics rated "Sicario" fresh.
It dives into the harsh realities of drug cartels operating along the U.S.-Mexico border through the lens of FBI agent Kate Macer (Emily Blunt). To combat the escalating drug war, she's tapped for a government task force led by the mysterious and morally ambiguous Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) and the shadowy consultant Alejandro Gillick (Benicio Del Toro).
As they set out on a covert mission to take down a powerful cartel, Kate grows increasingly disillusioned by the brutal methods employed that blur the line between justice and lawlessness.
With its gripping action and tense atmosphere, “Sicario” delves into themes of corruption, morality, and the high stakes of the drug war, delivering a powerful and thought-provoking narrative.

'Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves'
Even if you've never played D&D, "Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves" is a blast. Though it mildly flopped in theaters, here's hoping this delightful action comedy will finally find its audience now that it's landed on Netflix.
From directors/screenwriters Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley, it kicks off with a wily bard named Edgin (Chris Pine) behind bars with his no-nonsense barbarian friend Holga (Michelle Rodriguez) after a heist goes south.
After escaping, they set out to save Edgin's daughter and take down an evil red wizard, forming an adventuring party along the way that includes a paladin (Regé-Jean Page), a druid (Sophia Lillis), and a struggling sorcerer (Justice Smith).
All told, it's a fairly standard adventure movie, but its solid comedy and performances all around elevate it to a fantasy movie worth watching. Plus, I defy anyone not to laugh at the tubby dragon.

‘Venom: The Last Dance'
Is "Venom: The Last Dance" a great movie? Eh...that depends. If the MCU's lackluster recent entries have you jonesing for some superhero popcorn fodder, it'll scratch that itch.
I'm a big fan of the "Venom" movies for their campy antics and bromance between Eddie Brock and Venom (both played by Tom Hardy), and while I thought this was easily the series's messiest entry, it's still a lot of fun. So long as you keep your expectations in check, that is.
After their clash with Carnage at the end of the second movie, Brock and Venom are still on the run and making their way to New York City to clear their name. Along the way, they end up in the crosshairs of both the Earth authorities and the evil alien symbiotes from Venom's home planet.
It all comes together in a bombastic final showdown where Venom and his symbiote siblings team up as reluctant allies to save the world.
