Everyone knows Netflix has some truly superb original movies.
From the critcially-acclaimed World War I drama All Quiet on the Western Front through to the Daniel Craig -led classic British-style murder mystery Glass Onion, the platform certainly has its fair share of big-hitters.
But for every great film the streaming giant releases, there seems to be a complete and utter stinker.
And we're not talking mediocrity here, we're talking utter bilge. The kind of film your Great Auntie Mabel couldn't even have on in the background while knitting, the type of movie Uncle Walter would switch over to watch EastEnders - and he hates soaps.

In short, this is next-level awfulness.
So without further ado, here are six of the very worst movies - counting down in order of paltry IMDB scores - that Netflix has made since it started producing totally original projects.
6. The Outsider (2018)
Fantastically summed up by one IMDB reviewer as simply 'this is horrible', Jared Leto's The Outsider tells the tale of an American soldier who stays in Japan after the Second World War and begins working his way up the ranks of the notorious Yakuza crime syndicate.
Disgruntled viewers largely agreed the story was too far fetched to be believable, with one posting on the film website this was a 'slow, pointless movie with a predictable ending'.
In a scathing 1/10 review, user chris9999000 posted: "If you want to spend 120 minutes bored, then look no further. I don't ever write reviews unless they are great or horrible ... this got one star for a reason".
Some viewers thought it was quite good, which lifts its score out of the gutter. But, really, it isn't.
IMDB: 6.2
5. The Do-Over (2016)
Despite having numerous bona fide decent films under his belt (such as Punch-Drunk Love or The Wedding Singer) Adam Sandler unfortunately does let his quality control slip rather a lot.
And The Do-Over is the perfect example of this.
This excruciatingly unfunny movie concerns two friends who decide to fake their own deaths to start their lives all over again.
An interesting premise rapidly degenerates into a bog-standard and remarkably odd action thriller.
IMDB user gianmarcoronconi slammed The Do-Over as 'very ugly', and one that riffs on such low-brow comedy that it's both 'embarrassing and uncomfortable for the viewer'.
Another said the film was 'the worst they had seen in five years', while user tvsitcoms blasted it as 'vulgar, unfunny ... and a waste of everyone's time'.
IMDB: 5.7
4. Naked (2017)
Remember Bill Murray's splendidly funny living-the-same-day-over-and-over-again comedy Groundhog Day?
The 1993 classic was warm-hearted, genuine, moving and downright hilarious - four adjectives you couldn't possible use to describe Naked.
The film employs a similar structure, but instead concerns actor Marlon Wayans who keeps waking up naked in an elevator on his wedding day.
With its bad acting, surprisingly dull plot and even more shockingly cliched jokes, Naked has a bare-faced cheek calling itself a movie at all.
IMDB user pals1986 recommends that 'everyone should avoid this', while roccodonovan said the whole thing was just 'downright annoying'.
They posted: "Absolutely terrible. The movie is illogical and full of discrepancies. I did not laugh once, and it actually put me in a bad mood due to how horrible it was."
IMDB: 5.4
3. The Ridiculous 6 (2015)
Move over The Magnificent Seven, and make way for The Ridiculous 6.
Actually, maybe not, for this Adam Sandler movie is - you guessed it - absolutely abysmal on every level.
The story, such as it is, concerns White Knife, an orphan raised by Native Americans, who finds out that five outlaws are actually his half-brothers. The unlikely sextet then set out to rescue their wayward father.
"An insulting parody of Tarantino and classic westerrns", wrote real_review on IMDB, while nickycarriker said: "After finishing The Ridiculous 6 I felt that my soul had transcended into a being of pure light energy; able to withstand even the very worst of comedies. So I suppose if I took anything away from this film, that was it.
Safe to say, this is not a good movie.
IMDB: 4.8
2. The Last Thing He Wanted (2020)
... was to watch this film.
Not even an all-star cast that includes Anne Hathaway, Ben Affleck, and Willem Defoe can save this dud that involves a reporter/arms dealer getting involved in a government conspiracy.
Badly told and largely uninteresting, most viewers had a hard time working out what was actually going on and - perhaps worse - not caring.
IMDB user arnie_lozari posted: "This movie is a waste of time from the first frame to the last. Normally, I am very good at analysing and comprehending films, but this movie confounds me."
And he wasn't alone, with hjohnsaffer saying: "Within ten minutes I realised nothing in this film made any sense.
"I decided it would be more beneficial and enjoyable for me to watch the paint dry on my walls. Despite some good actors it fails to make any impression. Do not bother with it."
IMDB: 4.3
1. The Last Days of American Crime (2020)
High-concept but low on thrills sci-fi drama that moves along at such a glacial pace you could feasibly set a sloth and snail in a mile-long race through treacle to grab a sticky bun and they would still appear to move faster than this.
The Last Days of American Crime tells the story of a bunch of criminals attempting to execute one last heist before the government brainwashes citizens to make crime impossible.
An intriguing premise, yes, with subtle shades of Tom Cruise's vastly superior Minority Report, but it just doesn't work.
IMDB user michaelwheeler sums up the viewing experience quite succinctly.
"A guy who is all sulk and beard kills a load of people. There's a voice-over who I think is introducing characters but they all get killed. Fifteen minutes in and I'm lost.
"The rest of the movie is dimly-lit shakey-cam of people pointing guns at each other. That's about 2 1/2 hours, and every single moment is a reason not to watch this."
Many viewers only lasted around 25 minutes before switching off - an almost impressive level of awfulness, and that's why it's our number one.
IMDB: 3.8
Brief history of Netflix
Netflix launched in 1997 as an alternative to video rental stores.
In a unique move for the times, it allowed customers to rent DVDs and have them sent to their homes.
The very first posted DVD was a copy of Tim Burton’s 1988 classic horror comedy Beetlejuice, starring Micheal Keaton.
Netflix quickly became a huge success and it wasn't long before traditional bricks and mortar video chains such as Blockbuster were on the ropes.
The pioneer launched its streaming service in 2007 and is now a global phenomenon with more than 232 million subscribers across the globe.
