Netflix issue 'useful' warning to viewers watching Obsession with family members

A raunchy new TV drama has landed on Netflix and it has everyone talking. So much so, the streaming service has had to slap a warning on it for viewers who have made the “questionable decision” to watch it with their family members.

Obsession aired on Netflix on April 13 and has even appeared on Gogglebox UK, with the steamy scenes leaving the Channel 4 stars stunned.

The Netflix Original is an erotic thriller which surrounds a love triangle and affair between Anna (Happy Valley star Charlotte Murphy) and her fiancée's father, William (The Hobbit’s Richard Armitage), that soon descends into a dangerous obsession with fatal consequences.

While the thriller is super suspenseful, it’s the sexy scenes that people on social media can’t stop talking about.

Netflix has released a warning to those planning on watching the series with family members to give them a heads up on some scenes they may want to fast-forward.

Taking to Twitter, the streaming platform said: “If you've made the (questionable) decision to watch Obsession with your parents, these are the moments you'll probably want to excuse yourself…”

In episode one, Netflix highlighted the 26m 14s mark. The second episode, you may want your finger on the button just 32 seconds in and again at the 22-minute mark.

There are two spicy scenes in episode three at times 10m 15s and 25m 58s and in the final episode, Netflix has flagged a saucy scene at 2m 15s.

Viewers were extremely grateful for the heads up and thanked the streaming platform for saving them any embarrassment.

@Cath_A_Thomas tweeted: “This is very useful, can all programmes come with this please!!”

@xxmisswendyxx admitted: “I feel embarrassed watching it and I’m watching on my own!”

@JohnStannard16 said “I cringed watching this with my wife. Episode 1. And thats as far as we go,” while @kellywellywoo2 tweeted: “Great series though, well worth a watch... Just not with the parents…”
