Netflix has confirmed it is removing a number of popular films and TV shows from the platform in a major shake-up, The Mirror reports. The streaming giant regularly removes beloved content to keep things fresh for subscribers.
But while new content isn’t necessarily a bad thing, this can leave some viewers disappointed if they are in the middle of certain shows. On May 1, a host of movies and shows will disappear from Netflix, so if any of these are on your ‘to-watch’ list, you better act fast.
One of the most notable removals is the supernatural crime drama iZombie. The popular series – which stars Rose McIver and Rahul Kohli – ran between 2015 and 2019, and soon all five seasons of the show will leave Netflix.

David Fincher’s biographical drama The Social Network is also leaving the platform next month. The 2010 multi-Oscar winner starred Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield as the feuding founders of Facebook alongside Justin Timberlake as Napster founder Sean Parker.
Blade Runner 2049 joins the films making an exit from the streaming service. Denis Villeneuve’s neo-noir epic continues the story of 1982’s seminal sci-fi with Harrison Ford, who reprises his iconic role alongside Ryan Gosling as ‘K’, a blade runner for the LAPD.
