Netflix Greenlights Action Film 'Mantis' Starring Im Si-Wan

Im Si-wan in all black

Netflix has given the green light to 'Mantis' (working title), an action film that delves into the world of contract killers. The movie follows Mantis, an expert assassin who re-enters a chaotic hired killer industry after its collapse.

As per the logline, Mantis reunites with Jae-yi, a former trainee and rival, and Dok-go, a retired legendary killer, as they all compete for supremacy in the world of assassins.

'Mantis' is a spin-off from the 2023 Netflix film 'Kill Boksoon,' which focused on a single mother and renowned assassin. This new film shifts the focus to Mantis, Jae-yi, and Dok-go, exploring their roles in the ruthless killer world.

The cast includes Yim Si-wan as Han-ul, known as Mantis, who works for MK Ent and returns to seek new opportunities. Park Gyu-young plays Jae-yi, a killer who was ousted by MK Ent. after losing favor with her superiors, and Jo Woo-jin portrays Dok-go, a retired assassin.

'Mantis' is being produced by SEE AT Film Co., LTD., with production already underway. The film is expected to be released in 2025.
