Netflix forced to apologise after Love Is Blind reunion delayed amid livestream glitch

Netflix has apologised after the highly-anticipated live reunion for Love is Blind's fourth season didn't go as planned yesterday, with its release having been delayed.

The reunion for the latest season of the reality TV show - which is hosted by couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey - was due to be livestreamed on Sunday (April 16).

It had been due to air live on the streaming platform at 5pm PT/8pm ET yesterday evening (1am BST) - though fans complained that the stream wasn't working at the time.

Amid fans expressing disappointment on social media, Netflix issued an apology on Twitter and has since announced when the delayed reunion will be available.

Netflix tweeted: "To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned."

The streaming platform continued in its tweet last night: "We're filming it now and we'll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry."

It's since been announced that the special episode will be released later today (April 17), with it set to air as a pre-recorded reunion after the livestream didn't go to plan.

Confirming when the episode will be released, Netflix more recently tweeted: "Love Is Blind: The Reunion will be available globally at 12pm PT on April 17. Promise."

Others from the fourth season who took part in the reunion - which Netflix has teased is "worth the wait" - include Kwame Appiah, Paul Peden and Micah Lussier.

Love Is Blind: The Reunion is set to be available from 12pm PT / 3pm ET - which is 8pm for fans in the UK. You can catch up on previous episodes on the streaming platform.
