Netflix fans are celebrating after a classic noughties teen drama was added to the platform on Thursday (July 6).
All six seasons of Gossip Girl are now available to stream, meaning viewers can revisit all the melodrama of New York's Constance Billard School for Girls. The show follows a group of upper-class high schoolers whose lives are being watched - and often ruined - by an all-seeing blogger known only as 'Gossip Girl.'
Leighton Meester stars as Blair Waldorf, Blake Lively plays Serena van der Woodsen and Kristen Bell is the voice of Gossip Girl, who narrates the drama. You's Penn Badgley, The Boys' star Chace Crawford, The Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen and White Gold's Ed Westwick also star.

Airing from 2007 until 2012, there are 121 episodes to binge in total. Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Netflix UK announced another teen drama would be added to the site alongside Gossip Girl.
The streaming giant said: "NEW: All seasons of Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries are back on Netflix UK/IE! xoxo". Fans were delighted, with one declaring it 'the best day ever.'
@gett_alife tweeted: "So gossip girl is back on netflix and that’s a good morning" while @daisybillyluvr added: "gossip girl is back on netflix my life has meaning again". @taco_bhel wrote: "gossip girl back on Netflix this is the best day ever" and @aaliyah_gafar echoed: "Gossip Girl coming back to Netflix - best news ever!!"
In 2021, HBO Max launched a Gossip Girl spin-off which aired on the BBC and BBC iPlayer in the UK. Original showrunners Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz returned to oversee the new drama, which kept its original name.

The show's two-season run focused on a new generation of Manhattan high schoolers, while Kristen Bell reprised her role as the voice of Gossip Girl. It received mixed reviews, despite breaking the record for the most-watched HBO Max original series over its launch weekend.
