What is Known About Season 2
The newly released teaser for Arcane is the second released by Netflix. The first, which was released in June 2024, shows what seems to be an impending war between Piltover and Zaun. As it is a continuation of the first season, fans can expect that the second series will continue to explore the story and relationship of sisters Vi and Jinx/Powder.
"Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and our partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche," co-creator Christian Linke previously said.
The first official teaser for the second season can be viewed below.
A good number of the voice cast from the first season are expected to make a return for the final season. Hailee Steinfeld and Ella Purnell, who voice Vi and Jinx/Powder respectively, are returning for season two. Katie Leung, the Harry Potter alum who voiced Caitlyn, is likewise returning.
Brett Tucker, who voiced the character Singed, is returning for the final season, according to a report. Given the appearance of both Ekko and Heimerdinger in the new teaser, the return of their voice actors, Reed Shannon and Mick Wingert, can likewise be expected.
Series Background
Created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, Arcane is produced by French animation studio Fortiche and distributed by Netflix. As previously mentioned, the series follows the story of sisters Vi and Jinx as well as the events in Piltover, depicted as a utopia, and Zaun, which is shown as an underground place that is full of despair and hardship.
First announced during the League of Legends 10th anniversary celebration in 2019, the first season was released in November 2021. The series has been a hit with both League of Legends fans and critics alike, scoring a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
