A number of Netflix rivals are offering free trials to tempt subscribers as the former 'chill' platform is criticised for its password charging extras, those who share details with family and friends face higher rates. Up until now, using someone elses log in has been a popular way at splitting the cost of the £6.99 subscription.
It means those who are more liberal with their account details will be charged an extra penny or too to do so, exactly £4.99 extra, bringing the total monthly cost to £11.98. It's an extra fiver per per who piggbacks on an account, be it a friend or family member living at another address, so the cost can quickly add up.
As Netflix users who split their account across multiple households are faced with extra charges, one rival streaming platform is offering a free full month of content. And you can watch from wherever with whoever as long as you have the correct log in and password.

It's all thanks to Amazon Prime, another top contendor when it comes to watching the latest films, series and documentaries. It's the only place to watch Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May's new 2023 The Grand Tour, The Boys, or exclusive films including Marvellous Mrs. Maisel.
And Prime Video is still offering a 30-day free trial to binge-watch everything on its service.
The subscription fee is usually slightly more expensive than Netflix, at £8.99 a month, but it's flexible user experience now sets it apart. It's current deal means users can get a whole month of free streaming for absolutely free, and there's not extra charge to leave once the trial month is over.
All users can choose a free one month trial of the service before they commit to the monthly plan, a chance for users to binge watch their favourite series without having to pay to do so.
Its 'household sharing' feature, it allows users to add another person to their account to give them Prime benefits, including free next day delivery and of course, Video. As the name states, users can do this in the 'manage your household' section of their Amazon account, and it'll work for free as long as all users live in the same country or region.

Reserved for Prime members only, Amazon is set to slash prices on its website for a full 48-hour period running this July 11 and 12.
It's not the only provider that lets users share for free, as Apple TV and Sky join Amazon Prime Video too. Apple TV+ lets users share with friends and family through its 'family sharing' feature. Account holders can activate it through their iPhone settings (and select Apple ID) and invite people by adding their email address.
Sky customes can register up to as much as six devices to their account and give out details to friends and family to watch content, as long as it's through the Sky Go app. Customers can share their Sky ID which can then be used to log in on any device and from anywhere in the UK.
