Netflix has unveiled the first teaser trailer and premiere date for Timo Tjahjanto’s highly anticipated action film, 'The Shadow Strays.' Set in Indonesia, the movie follows the story of Codename 13, a young assassin who faces suspension after a mission failure. The plot revolves around 13 forming a bond with Monji, a boy who has lost his mother to a crime syndicate. When Monji goes missing, 13 sets out on a mission to find him, even if it means defying her mentor and the organization she is part of, known as 'The Shadows.'
'The Shadow Strays' is scheduled to debut on Netflix on October 17, following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival’s Midnight Madness sidebar in September. The cast includes Aurora Ribero, Hana Malasan, Ali Fikry, Adipati Dolken, and Andri Mashadi.
Timo Tjahjanto, a prominent figure in Asian cinema, has gained recognition for his work as a filmmaker and as one half of The Mo Brothers alongside Kimo Stamboel. Tjahjanto's upcoming project includes directing 'Nobody 2,' the sequel to Universal's successful action film starring Bob Odenkirk.
