Plans for 48 new homes on the site of a former primary school in Kilmarnock have moved a step closer.
A public consultation exercise finished yesterday in relation to East Ayrshire Council's proposals for Kennedy Drive, on the area which once housed Silverwood Primary.
Developed in partnership with CCG (Scotland) Ltd and its design team, the properties would be constructed to meet a range of needs.
If given the green light, the development would consist of four two-bed homes designed to the meet the needs of wheelchair users; three two-bed homes for older/ambulant disabled residents; 29 two-bed terraced homes; seven three-bed homes and three four-bed homes.
There would also be a five-bed bungalow and one eight-bed home designed for a wheelchair user.
Local residents were able to have their say on the local authority's Net Zero scheme during the second half of May with the Ayrshire Roads Alliance set to provide its feedback.

He said: “The development proposed for Kennedy Drive is ambitious and designed to meet the needs of local people. The 48 homes have been carefully considered and the design includes attractive green spaces.
"This development is also the council’s first Net Zero project with full consideration being given to low carbon technologies.
"This includes the proposed installation of air source heat pumps instead of gas boilers, the use of Scottish products and materials wherever possible to reduce transport energy and solar panels installed on all roof spaces."
