Oman clinched their place in the T20 World Cup after defeating Bahrain by 10 wickets in the semifinals. Nepal also secured their spot in the tournament by defeating the United Arab Emirates by eight wickets in the semi-final match.

For Oman, this will mark their third appearance in the T20 World Cup. Previously, they participated in 2016 and 2021 but failed to progress beyond the initial rounds.
