Neon’s latest film, 'Longlegs,' directed by Osgood Perkins and featuring Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe, has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing the $100 million mark in global box office earnings since its release on July 12. The chilling thriller, centered around a serial killer, has emerged as the top-grossing film for Tom Quinn's esteemed production and distribution company, Neon, known for distributing the acclaimed 'Parasite,' for the year 2024.

'Longlegs' has garnered an impressive $72 million in North America alone and was brought to life through the financial backing and production efforts of C2's Dave Caplan, along with the collaborative efforts of Cage, Dan Kagan, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Chris Ferguson. International rights for the horror film were secured by Black Bear, contributing $31 million to the global box office revenue.

The film was directly distributed in the U.K. and Ireland, emerging as the top-performing international market with ticket sales amounting to $10 million. Despite its success, 'Longlegs' is yet to be released in several major territories, including Latin America and Italy. Elevation Pictures, a subsidiary of Black Bear, has played a pivotal role in the film's success by contributing over $7 million to the North American box office through its Canadian release.

Looking ahead, Osgood Perkins is poised to collaborate once again with Neon, C2, and Black Bear for his upcoming project, 'The Monkey,' a film adaptation of a Stephen King novel starring Theo James, scheduled for a February 2025 release. The production team for 'The Monkey' includes Kavanaugh-Jones from Range, Ferguson from Oddfellows, James Wan, and Dave Caplan from C2.

Neon has also announced its plans to release Perkins' 'Keeper,' featuring Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland, and to reunite with Maika Monroe for 'They Follow,' the sequel to David Robert Mitchell’s 'It Follows.'
