Nella Rose has said the new series of Catfish UK has lead her to feel the "most shocked" while filming as she Oobah Butler investigate a new set of catfish cases.
Nella, 25, and Oobah, 30, have teamed up once again for a new series of the popular MTV programme to help people discover if who they are talking to online is the real deal or a catfish.
Speaking about the brand new series of the show, Nella revealed: "I've been the most shocked this series, especially compared to last year.
"I'm always like this," she says before opening her mouth to show her shocked expression. "I feel like that's my signature catfish face."
She added: "It was shocking for me so I can only imagine how the viewers are going to feel because I experienced it God damn, so watching it now – I don't know girl!"
Meanwhile, Oobah teased: "We've had things with people who have been in an online relationship with someone in the public eye, we've had to look into that.
"Unfortunately, we've had more people seeing advancements in technology as an opportunity to prey on people in terms of for monetary reasons, things like that."
Meanwhile, Oobah revealed that being on the show has made him realise that catfishing is viewed differently with the younger generation than it was when the original show first started.
He explained: "I see like ethics for younger people for Gen Z people –I'm a millennial, Nella's a Gen Z.
"But, the ethics around catfishing seemed a little bit more grey instead of black and white."
"Blurred lines," Nella added as Oobah continued: "The situation of, like, how many normal people who are under the age of 25 or whatever who have got like catfish profiles that they just use just to move through social media."
Nella interjected with: "They're called burner accounts," to which Oobah replied: "Right, yeah!"
Meanwhile, Nella revealed that hosting the show has put her off dating.
She confessed: "From the last series I say, 'Oh, I'm never doing this in my life!'," as Oobah giggled.
The star explained: "I've seen the outcome first hand, in real life.
"So personally I'm too scared to put myself in that situation because I'm a lover, I'm a cancer. Imagine I fall in love with you and you're you're not a real person? I don't know what I would with myself. Like, what?"
The new series also transports the pair to the metaverse, where neither of the hosts have been before.
Nelle said: "It was mad because I had never entered the metaverse in my life.
"Now I've just read an email and you're telling me I'm about to enter this this whole new world that I've never been a part of.
"So, it was different. It was definitely something I never thought I'd be doing on catfish ever.
"And so when it happened, it was pretty cool. And now so like I can enter the metaverse and do my thing because I've got my training."
Catfish UK premiered on 11 th January at 10pm on MTV.
