Neil Warnock raves about Celtic special quality that Chelsea and Everton lack

Impressed Neil Warnock has been left seriously impressed by Celtic's battling qualities that he believes are streets ahead of a pair of English Premier League sides.

The veteran boss believes Rangers weren't bad on Sunday but the tigerish streak in the Premiership league leaders left a lasting impressing.

Ange Postecoglou 's men triumphed 2-1 winners at Ibrox and the veteran English manager couldn't help but compare the recent poor form of Premier League strugglers Everton and wonky Chelsea.

Frank Lampard's side are in a relegation dogfight after losing to Burnley and Thomas Tuchel's men are facing a Champions League exit after slapstick defending against Real Madrid.

And he had nothing but praise for Celtic's endeavour at Ibrox.

"To be fair they played well second half, Rangers", Warnock told talkSPORT.

"They had to defend well and I thought they did because they didn't have too many clear chances, did they, because they kept them outside the box.

"But the difference I think between like your Chelsea and Everton, and Celtic is they put their heads in, they put the tackles in, they won the battles and that.

"And that's where they got their reward. I think at this time of season, it's more important what's under your shirt than the ability you've got."

Celtic lead Rangers by six points in the Premiership title race with only six games to go.

The two sides are set to meet in a Scottish Cup semi-final on April 17 and still have to play each other again on league duty.
