Neil Warnock has made a slightly rogue prediction about Manchester United ahead of the start of their Premier League season.
United kick off their new era under Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford against Brighton and Hove Albion. Players who featured in the last campaign for the club are hoping to banish the demons of the last time they played the Seagulls.
Under Ralf Rangnick, United lost 4-0 to Brighton and slipped to their lowest points tally ever in the Premier League. However, pre-season has been optimistic, with Ten Hag's new approach seemingly working well.

But when asked for his predictions on Twitter, former Middlesbrough, Cardiff City and Sheffield United manager Warnock was not convinced that United will be able to muster a good campaign. He explained: "I think it will be more competitive this year but still see Manchester City ending up on top.
"Don’t feel so optimistic about the other side of Manchester." In his top six for the Premier League, United did not feature with Newcastle taking that final place.
Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea made up the rest of the Champions League places. Meanwhile Arsenal were predicted to finish fifth.
