A surprise celebrity visit in the shape of US TV star Neil Patrick Harris occurred last week at an escape room based in the city centre of Edinburgh.
The How I Met Your Mother star took part in an escape room at Locked In Edinburgh, the capital's only escape room company that bases the challenges in real rooms, and not purpose built sets.
Writing on a local community Facebook page, the company said: "Last week we at Locked In Edinburgh escape rooms were a little star struck to say the least.

"If we were to choose a famous celeb to come play our rooms, it would have to be Neil Patrick Harris #howimetyourmother #doogiehowser (soon to be released Netflix series - Uncoupled).
"Played it super cool on the outside at hosting not just 1, but 2 games for him...
"Really on the inside we were totally fangirling! He was super stoked to play, as were we. Not to mention just what a lovely, down to earth bloke he is.
"So glad he has good taste in escape rooms! If you ask us nicely, we might even reveal which bit excited him the most!"

Edinburgh Live spoke to Locked In worker Arron on Friday to ask about his experience hosting Neil, and Arron said: "It was really exciting, he was so nice and chatty.
"He actually is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to escape rooms, so he gave us a lot of recommendations for places to visit in the US as well!
"We were so happy to have him, and hope he comes back to visit soon!"
The official Locked In Edinburgh Facebook had this to say: "Following a successful mission into space, these guys followed up with some fun in our Distillery Neil Patrick Harris.
"Safe to say your quote of the week will remain like a doctors confidentiality between us.
"Well played guys, thanks for giving us a fun afternoon!
