Neighbours fans in the UK have been left frustrated after they noticed a number of elements were missing from the emotional finale episode, which aired on Channel 5.
The Australian-based soap was shown a day earlier Down Under while UK viewers tuned into Channel 5 on Friday evening to get their final fix of the much-loved programme.
However, as both versions were made available to view online, some fans have noticed a string of subtle differences between the episode shown in Australia and the UK, including the absence of a star.
In the Australian edit Sky Mangel, played by Stephanie McIntosh, made an appearance in the video montage with the rest of the past characters who couldn't make it in person to Karl and Susan Kennedy's house.
One asked: "What did Sky Mangel ever do to Channel Five?!!"
Another added: "I think Sky Mangles recording was also cut from #ukpace".
"Weird how Sky was cut from the UK airing. #Neighbours," a second added.
While a third UK viewer asked: "Did they cut Sky out of the video montage? She was definitely in the Australian version. Or did I just blink and miss her tonight? #Neighbours".
Secondly, a touching moment between Karl, portrayed by Alan Fletcher, and Toadie Rebecchi, played by Ryan Moloney, appeared to be missing from the UK edit.
In the Aussie version, Karl was seen telling Toadie, "Toad, you're like a son to us. Well, that's ridiculous isn't it? Toad, you are a son to us."
Viewers also fumed over the missing moment as one said: "Gutted to find that C5 cut the Neighbours finale in odd ways. Karl's speech to Toadie being a son to him is missing, and the end credits mashup of themes is missing a couple of them #NeighboursFinale".
Another wrote: "Such a shame that the Toadie and Karl speech didn't make the cut".
Thirdly, more beady-eyed fans spotted that in Beth Brennan's video message Beth, played by Natalie Imbruglia, mentioned her son.
In the Aussie version Beth said: "Sending love to you, Ned. Love you son," and Ned was seen smiling – which appeared to me missing in the UK edit.
The final drone shot also appeared to be different in both versions, too. In the cut aired Down Under, the entire cast and crew can be seen but the UK version appears to show only the cast.
Music used in the versions also appeared to be different as a fan pointed out that tunes from George Ezra and Harry Styles played in the UK show but not in the Australian edit.
Viewers shared their disappointment on Twitter as one wrote: "@channel5_tv why would you cut scenes from the last ever #NeighboursFinale I hope you will be putting the full unedited episode on #myfive the same one Australia got to see #Neighbours #endofanera".
Another added: "Would love to hear @channel5_tv editorial reasons for the scenes cut in neighbours (one less h&a trailing could have provided the extra time if needed), why they felt the need to insert a random George Ezra song and give a different final shot than Australia."
Mirror Online has contacted Channel 5 and Neighbours' production company Fremantle for comment.
