Neighbours star Alan Fletcher has released his debut solo album ahead of the saved soap making its highly anticpated return later this year.
Fans of the Australian soap were left heart-broken last year when it was axed after after 37 years and almost 9,000 episodes.
The move came after UK broadcaster Channel 5 decided to pull it from their schedule, with showmakers Fremantle confirming a short time later that it was the end of the road for the show, which first jump-started the careers of stars including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Margot Robbie, Liam Hemsworth, Natalie Imbruglia and more.
After signing off in style in July, it was confirmed in a soap-worthy plot twist just four months later that the show would be coming back after Fremantle signed a deal with Amazon Freevee.
A number of fan favourites are set to return, including Stefan Dennis as Paul Robinson, Jackie Woodburne as Susan Kennedy, Ryan Moloney as Toadie Rebecchi, and Fletcher as Karl Kennedy,
In the meantime, Fletcher, 65, has been busy putting the finishing touches on his new Americana record, The Point, which features 11 tracks and is out now.
UK fans will get the chance to see him live as not only will he be touring the album, including a date at The Bedford in London on March 28, he will also be appearing in Neighbours - The Celebration Tour.
Formerly titled The Farewell Tour, it will take in three sold out nights at the London Palladium and see Fletcher reminisce with fellow castmembers Woodburne, Dennis, Moloney, Annie Jones and April Rose Pengilly over their time in the Erinsborough-set show.
