
New Delhi: The Supreme Court today on Friday said the National Testing Agency (NTA) must avoid the "flip-flops" it made in the NEET-UG 2024 exam as they do not serve the interests of the students.
The Top Court was pronouncing its verdict with reasons for not cancelling the 2024 NEET-UG medical entrance examination, despite many controversies including paper-leak allegations and other irregularities in the exam.
The Supreme Court ruled not to cancel the NEET-UG 2024 exam despite allegations of irregularities, finding no systematic breach. It directed a Centre-appointed committee to enhance cybersecurity and exam procedures.
A three-judge bench, headed by CJI DY Chandrachud, also said the expert committee must rectify the deficiencies in the exam system. (with Agency inputs)
