Many of us have grooved to her song 'Aap Ke Aa Jane Se' from Khudgarz in late 80s, but Bollywood actress Neelam Kothari seems to be India's very own Benjamin Button, who refuses to age. The actress has already hit a half century in life but people still envy her for her youthful looks and pleasant demeanor. E Times caught up with the beautiful 'Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives' star and asked her about her beauty regime, here are some excerpts from the chit-chat.
When asked what kept her forever beautiful, Neelam revealed, "I have realized one thing that the earlier you start looking at your game and yourself, the better it is. What you are internally reflects on your face. Also, what you eat is vital.You've got to start looking after yourself earlier on in life, that's the only secret I've seen, there's no there's no magic pill, there's no secret potion, you just have to be active and some people are blessed to have a genetically good skin."
The actress' reality series has the country hooked on to it, as it takes people inside the all glam lives of real Bollywood wives. Well, for people who haven't caught up with the series, it actually had a botox segment, where the camera followed Neelam inside a beauty clinic as she takes botox injections. And people loved the actress for being so real about her self care.
A few days ago the actress in an interview to a website had said that botox was not a big deal, “I just feel people make such a big deal out of botox and all these procedures. You are going to age one day and you are going to do stuff to make yourself feel good and look good. I just feel why not. People take themselves too seriously, what’s the big deal? That was my whole thought process behind it. Did I give it too much thought? No. I just told the crew that ‘listen, I’m facing the camera. I’m gonna do this for the first time. You guys want to film it?’ They grabbed the opportunity. What is there to hide? Sometimes I see women and I just feel that ‘Oh, my God for her age, she looks really good. I just wish I knew what she does, who she goes to, what is her regime?’ So what if you can help another woman?"
