Neco Williams has touched on the 'honour' it has been playing for Liverpool as he completes his £17million move to newly-promoted Nottingham Forest.
The Welshman spent 15 years at Liverpool after coming up through the ranks, but was unfortunate to find himself behind one of the best right-backs in the world in Trent Alexander-Arnold.
After a successful loan spell at Championship winners Fulham for the second half of last season, 21-year-old Williams wanted more game time and Liverpool's signing of Calvin Ramsay has allowed him to go and secure just that.

As the ECHO has reported, a package of around £17m was agreed between the two clubs. The deal has now been officially confirmed by Liverpool and Forest on their social media channels.
Taking to Twitter himself to post an emotional message to Liverpool, Williams said today: "15 years at this special club, thank you for everything Liverpool. it’s been an honour to play for this club and to play under Jurgen Klopp. But I’ve now decided to take up a new challenge. I wish all the team and the staff the best of luck for the future and will always continue to support the club. Thank you and never forget YNWA!!!"
A message from the Reds said: "Everybody at Liverpool would like to thank Neco for his contributions to the club and wish him the very best of luck for the future."
While Forest boss Steve Cooper said: “Despite being only 21, Neco has established himself in the Wales starting XI. He’s played in the Premier League, the Champions League and in World Cup qualifiers in the last 12 months and he is a very talented right-back. We believe that he’s got an incredibly high ceiling and that he can play a huge role for us at Nottingham Forest in our return to the Premier League. We’re delighted to have him on board.”
Williams made 33 appearances for Liverpool in total and played a key role as Wales secured qualification to the Qatar World Cup in November.
Forest were linked with a move for Djed Spence, but the Middlesbrough man is close to a move to Tottenham Hotspur after spending last season out on loan in Nottingham.
