Nearly 40% of Titans fans would prefer a Super Bowl over true love

The Tennessee Titans have never won a Super Bowl. They appeared in the game just one time, in 1999, but lost to the then-St. Louis Rams.

The team did have two championships before the AFL/NFL merger, but no Super Bowl rings. And since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, of course, someone did a study on whether fans would rather see their team win a Super Bowl or find true love.

Of the 32 teams in the NFL, Detroit Lions fans are the most desperate for a Super Bowl, with 74% of fans desiring a Super Bowl ring over finding that special someone.

The team that cares the least about a Super Bowl ring won’t surprise anyone because they have six, and that’s the New England Patriots with 22% of fans preferring a Super Bowl victory over true love.

So where do Titans fans fit? Somewhere in the middle. Roughly 38% of Titans fans would prefer a Super Bowl ring over finding true love, which is sixth-lowest across the league and below the U.S. average of 48%.

Let’s put this in perspective a little bit, okay? The way society is today, how many people still believe in true love in the first place? And if you’ve already experienced true love and lost, how much do you want to experience that again versus seeing your team win a Super Bowl?

This isn’t a black-and-white thing, it’s highly dependent on every fan’s individual life experience.

However, it seems that Titans fans have their priorities in order. A Super Bowl ring may be forever, but so is actual true love. Wouldn’t you rather have a partner for life whom you truly want to be around than witness your team win a ring that you’ll never actually see?

Titans fans seem to think so.
