Reigning NCU Premier League cricket champions Waringstown have confirmed the signing of Ross Allen from North West club Brigade.
The 25-year-old left-arm spinner is the villagers' second capture of the close season, following on from the arrival of new overseas professional Jamie Gibson.
Allen will link up with his North West Warriors team-mate Graham Hume at The Lawn.
Waringstown had been searching for a left-arm spinner after the retirement of Gary Kidd before the beginning of the 2021 season.
Captain Lee Nelson said: I'm delighted to be able to announce the signing of Ross Allen.
"Ross is exactly the type of player that we wanted on board and a position that we felt we needed to strength.
"Ross gives us a player who can be versatile with the bat and a left-arm spinning option that we have been without since the retirement of Gary Kidd.
"I look forward to welcoming Ross to The Lawn for this season and beyond."
Allen had been at Beechgrove since the 2019 season after he moved from North West rivals Eglinton. He made his first appearance for the North West Warriors in 2017 and was named in the Ireland Wolves squad two years later.
Gibson, from Wellington, will follow in the footsteps of Waringstown's 2021 professional Andre Malan, whose astonishing form with the bat helped them win the Robinson Services Premier League title.
