Nck Sirianni is now the longest-tenured head coach in NFC East

The NFL is really a not-for-long league, and it seems like Nick Sirianni’s introductory press conference was ten years ago.  The Cowboys are searching for a new head coach after Mike McCarthy and the organization decided to part ways ahead of a Tuesday deadline.

With McCarthy out in Dallas, Sirianni is now the longest-tenured head coach in the division, with Brian Daboll being the next closest.

Sirianni is in his fourth season as head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. His combined 49-20 (.706) record is the highest winning percentage by a head coach in franchise history.

Sirianni has guided Philadelphia to the third-best winning percentage in the league since he was hired during the 2021 offseason. In that span, the Eagles are second in rushing offense (153.9 ypg), third in third-down offense (45.3 pct.) and scoring offense (26.7 ppg), fourth in red zone offense (61.7%) and sixth in total offense (367.6 ypg). In addition, Philadelphia ranks fourth in sacks (183) and total defense (316.2 ypg) over the last four seasons. During Sirianni’s Eagles tenure, 16 players have earned a combined 27 Pro Bowl nods, and seven have earned 12 All-Pro honors.
