NBC knows that a larger, but different audience will probably tune in for the Sunday Night Football matchup between the Chiefs and Jets. Taylor Swift is expected to attend the game at MetLife Stadium to support Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce, whom she’s rumored to be dating.
Nodding to the pop culture subplot, NBC released a clever promo for social media on Friday that acknowledges what will be the most intriguing aspect of Sunday night’s game to many viewers.
The video itself is a montage that includes Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, along with the Jets’ Sauce Gardner, Garret Wilson, and Robert Saleh, along with some New York defensive highlights. Providing the soundtrack is Swift’s song, “Welcome to New York.”

Great job by NBC in acknowledging the big reason why the Week 4 SNF telecast could draw even bigger ratings than usual—Swift appearing at Week 3’s Bears-Chiefs game helped that broadcast to 24.3 million viewers. It’s just the boost that a potentially lackluster matchup needs.
The Jets (1–2) and Chiefs (2–1) kick off at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday night.
